Abstract

The SalaryMSI application is a system designed to manage and calculate employee salaries, which play a crucial role in company operations. This research aims to test the SalaryMSI application to identify errors or deficiencies using Blackbox Testing testing techniques, namely Boundary Value Analysis (BVA) and Equivalence Partitioning (EP). This research method follows the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) flow which includes requirements analysis, creating test cases, testing test cases, and evaluating test results. The test results show that the SalaryMSI application is able to handle valid input and reject invalid input by providing appropriate error messages. Testing with the BVA method shows that the system functions well at extreme points of input, while the EP method shows that the system is able to handle different input variations stably. The results of this test are based on tests using the BVA and EP methods, both have 100% conformity. Which shows that the system functions well in testing the combination of partitions and boundary values.
