Pengujian Aplikasi Kapten Printing Metode Boundary Value Analysis dan Metode Equivalence Partitioning

Abstract

The Kapten Printing application is a system designed to facilitate customers in placing orders and storing order records, thereby playing an important role in the company’s operational processes. This study aims to evaluate the Kapten Printing application to identify potential errors or deficiencies using Black-Box Testing techniques, namely Boundary Value Analysis (BVA) and Equivalence Partitioning (EP). The research method follows the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), which includes requirements analysis, test case design, test case execution, and evaluation of testing outcomes. The results indicate that the Kapten Printing application is able to process valid inputs and reject invalid inputs by providing appropriate error messages. Testing with the BVA approach shows that the system performs properly at extreme input boundaries, while EP testing demonstrates that the system can handle various input variations in a stable manner. Overall, both BVA and EP achieved a 100% conformance rate, indicating that the system behaved as expected across the evaluated boundary values and equivalence classes.
